LexMC's directors have a long and successful track-record of running large, complex dictionary projects. We can offer anything from simple advice on project planning, through setting up the infrastructure for a project, to a complete project-management package - in which the planning, set-up, management and delivery of a dictionary is wholly contracted out to LexMC.

Project evaluation

LexMC offers an evaluation service, typically taking the form of 2 or 3 days' discussion with clients, followed by a detailed report with recommendations.

Clients include:

  • Western Armenian Research Group, King's College, London (2001)
  • Det Danske Sprog- og Litteraturselskab, Copenhagen (2004): evaluation of the ORDNET proposal
  • New online Welsh-Irish dictionary (in progress)

Project management

LexMC can offer a complete project-management service. If you would like to discuss this, contact us at info@lexmasterclass.com.

In addition to our extensive experience in managing projects for large dictionary publishers, LexMC planned the entire project, and installed all the necessary infrastructure for the New English-Irish Dictionary (NEID) project, a brand new corpus-based dictionary to be published in Ireland under the auspices of Foras na Gaeilge (the official body responsible for the promotion of the Irish language).
