Lexicom 2012: Austria

Our next Lexicom Workshop will be held in The Alpinarium in Galtur, Austria, in September 2012 (24th-28th). It will be hosted by Eveline Wandl-Vogt of the Institut fur Osterreichische Dialekt- und Namenlexika. For registration and more details about the workshop, click here.

Our last Lexicom Workshop in Europe was held in St Petersburg, Russia, in June 2011. Our most recent Lexicom Workshop was held in Auckland, New Zealand in February 2012. Reports on both these events will appear soon.

Who we are

Lexicography MasterClass is a partnership consisting of Sue Atkins, Adam Kilgarriff, and Michael Rundell. All are internationally-recognised experts in the fields of lexicography and lexical computing. With an unrivalled range of experience in the design, planning, and creation of lexical resources, and an outstanding record of innovation, LexMC provides advice, consultancy services, and training for anyone involved in, or embarking on, a lexicographic project.

What we do

LexMC’s services include:

training courses: intensive workshops, both open-access and customized for clients. Our annual Lexicom workshops have run since 2001.
lexicographic software: advice on appropriate systems for corpus-querying and dictionary-compilation (manual or automated)
project management: project evaluations, business plans, and advice on the planning and management of complex dictionary projects
